You are invited to participate with community leaders, water district stakeholders, farmers, public interest groups, and other community members, for a series of moderated panel discussions on how diverse stakeholders on other CA Waterways were able to work together to bring rivers back to life.

About the Event
Putah Creek flows out of Lake Berryessa in northern California past the city of Davis and is a river about half the size of the Kern in annual flows. In the late 80s, the last 20 miles of the river ran dry because of water diversions. Farmers and environmental groups came together crafted a widely celebrated solution that ensures that farmers have a predictable and reliable supply of water, while also ensuring that the river never goes dry, even in drought years.

Discussion will be facilitated by Richard Beene, radio host of Bakersfield Observed.
