About the Event
- Why: because we care for the Kern River. Excessive litter has accumulated along long stretches of the river and we need to make a sustained effort to get it back to an acceptable state. We hope to soon branch out to additional locations along the Parkway and welcome your suggestions of high priority areas.
- Who: Organized by the Kern River Parkway Foundation in partnership with Bring Back the Kern
- Where to meet: For Beach Park cleanups, the northern part of the road loop through Beach Park, close to the 24th St bridge
- What to bring: working shoes/boots, water, mask for maintaining COVID guidelines
- What will be provided: gloves and trash bags for cleanup. Feel free to bring your own materials if you prefer
